Breaking News: Hazardous Metals Now Treated at Edwin Richards Soil Treatment Facility
A recent permit variation at the soil treatment facility at Edwin Richards Quarry now allows all soil contaminants to be treated to facilitate beneficial reuse of the widest range of soils possible.
Leaders in Contaminated Soil Treatment for Recovery in UK
Provectus are delighted to announce that we have received a permit variation to implement two new soil treatment technologies at the Edwin Richards Quarry treatment facility. We operate this facility in a strategic alliance with FCC Environment.
The first method is to allow soil washing of soils with hazardous metals which compliments our existing treatment of hydrocarbons and asbestos. We now have the widest range of treatment technologies of any soil treatment facilities for the recovery of contaminated soils.
The second method is a new asbestos processing method that increases efficiency, reduces risks, time, emissions, and costs to customers. This new technology has taken 7 years to be consented for the first time in the UK and was developed jointly by FCC and Provectus.
Novel Asbestos Treatment Method
FCC and Provectus initiated the development of a novel asbestos processing method in 2017. The aim was to reduce emissions, risks to workers, cost, energy use and efficiency and move away from solely hand picking.
Clients will now benefit from lower costs, increased capacity and most importantly a significantly improved safe system of work on our sites.
All Contaminants Now Treated for Recovery
The change in permit means that we are now able to treat the widest range of soils contaminants for recovery in the UK. All you need to do is send us an enquiry through the button below to realise the benefits from trusting the UK leaders in soil treatment with your surplus soils.
